Happy Veterans Day!

Happy Veterans Day, to all of you who served, or who are currently serving this great country of ours in one of the branches of the Military.

Some Companies, and Schools  will celebrate the day tomorrow, which is wonderful, but today, November 11, is the official day every year.
I remember when I went into the Navy at the age of 17.  My Dad had to sign permission for me to go in, which got him into SO much trouble with my Mom, but it was the first turning point in my life.  I had grown up on the farm, and had led a very sheltered life from the “ways of the world”.  Nevertheless, I learned quickly, and unfortunately found myself part of it quickly.  I am so very thankful for my time in the Service.  Was on a Ship for over three years, and saw a fantastic part of the world in the West Pacific including Hawaii, Japan, China, India, other countries such as Chili, and Canada, and many many Ports in other places.
It gave me an appreciation for the USA I have never lost.  How very blessed we are – even with the great divisions. Blessed beyond any description, and beyond any words unless you have been to the other Countries to understand.
It gave me a love for this Country that would call me back into Service to defend it – even now at 78.
Let us pray for those who have served, and who are serving, and for their families who sacrificed much.  Let us pray for our Nation this prayer:
“If my people, who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14
Have a wonderful day, blessed in His Love, and in all things and in all ways in Christ Jesus, God’s Beloveds.
