“Encourage one another daily.” Hebrews 3:13

The Holy Spirit encourages us to ‘Encourage one other daily.”  He says,

“See to it Brothers and Sisters that none of you has a sinful unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.  But encourage one another daily as long as it is called “Today” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.  We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.  As has been said: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”  Hebrews 3: 12-15.
The Lord knows we encounter things at times that causes us to question.  There is nothing wrong in asking the Lord questions as long as we believe in Him.  As long as we know that He indeed has the answers, and indeed our victory is in Him.
In verses 7 thru 11 in Hebrews 3, we see why the Israelites did not enter their promised land.  It was simply from ‘not believing’ that what God said would happen -would happen – when they went in to possess the land.  Even though He showed them time and again that He could and would provide, they would harden their hearts every time something was not as they expected or wanted it to be.
We are all very capable of doing just that, so what they did is not for us to judge.  We are simply to learn from their experience and not lose the opportunity to live in the promises here, and now.  They had been set free from from slavery, and had been given a land flowing with milk and honey.  All they had to do was take it.  Unfortunately most of them believed the lies of the enemy saying it was impossible for them to have it, they were deceived, and they were not able to receive what was rightfully theirs.  They walked around it, but never in it.
Let us remind and encourage ourselves,  and others who believe,  what God has said is ours to have by reading  (Psalm 103: 1-5) frequently.  Jesus has defeated every thing that would stand between us, and living in those promises.  “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’, in Christ Jesus. And so the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”  (2 Corinthians 1:20.)  Let us encourage ourselves, and one another daily by reading the promises, believing the promises, and living in the promises in the Word.
Father has made the promises. Jesus has paid the price for us to have them. They Holy Spirit is here in us, and with us to bring them to reality.   May we never allow all that has been done for us to go unused, untapped, walked around but never in.
Blessings and love to you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.  May you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.
