“For the Word of God is living and active.” Hebrews 4:12

The Lord has given me the privilege of doing some work as a Life Coach.  Helping people who are not satisfied with how their life is, and want to change. Some of the time I see lives changed immediately as a few pointers gets them on the right track.  Some of the time I see a light come on as we talk about things that could be done to make life better.  And then, some of the time little to no effort is made to do those things that could help, and consequently nothing changes.  Intentions were good, but life goes on just as it was before because no commitment to change was made.

My heart always goes out to those who know what to do, but can’t seem to do it.  It may be the effort required, or it may be not willing to change a life style, or it could be not having the strength and will power to do so.  Whatever the cause, if I can get the one I am working with to realize they do not have to do it all on their own; if they will reach out and receive the help available, they can and will get it done,  and the wanted change will follow.
We all have to realize we are born into a body that is flesh, and that flesh is prone to want life to be lived fulfilling its own desires.  Sometimes that can be destructive.  Even when we are born again and are given a heart for God, we still have the flesh to contend with.  The Good News is the Holy Spirit comes into our body of flesh when we ask Christ into our lives and begins a work we call sanctification.  This simply means He is working to help us make the right decisions, and form the right habits in our lives that leads to putting our spirit in charge of the flesh, and that is when real change, transformation, comes.
To sustain the changes, and help overcome the flesh on a daily basis, we need the power of the Word within.  The Bible says, “For the Word of God is living and active.  Sharper than a two edged sword it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”  (Hebrews 4:12) It is Living and Active.  The Word of God is Living and Active!! It changes things.!!  What a wonderful and loving thing our Lord God has done for us by giving us the Word of God that we can hold in our hand and put into our heart by reading and hearing it.  The Bible says,  Jesus Himself is the Word of God.  (John 1: 1-18)  Talk about life changing power – there it is.  The Holy Spirit living within us, and the Spirit of Jesus living within us, and the Spirit of the Father living in us gives us a spirit of power that overcomes all obstacles, and brings any needed change in our lives. Thank you, God!
Let us commit to being in the Word daily.  Even if for a minute or two, and go from there.  We shall be transformed by the renewing of our mind. (Romans 12:2)  We shall see the changes the great Coach Himself shall bring.  We will like what He does.
Blessings and Love to you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.  May you walk in perfect health, and in divine wealth.
