“The Word of God is alive, and active in you.” Hebrews 4:12

A word of encouragement to each of us to reach for the Word of Life each day.  Jesus said, “I came that you might have Life, and have it abundantly.”  We get busy, and have many things going on in our worlds, and sometimes allow our focus on those things to take priority in our thoughts as we begin our day.  Of course we have go give thought to those things, but we have the privilege of deciding when, so put the horse before the cart.

The Holy Spirit tells us that “The Word of God is alive and active.  Sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)  The Gospel of John tells us that Jesus is the Word of God.  Therefore, when we ask Jesus into our lives, His Spirit resides in us, and He works in us.  The Word says,
“Continue to work out your salvation with reverence and trust.  For it is God who works in you to will and act according to His good purpose.”  Philippians 2: 12-13 Realize this is happening as we walk with Him.
He has a purpose for each of us, and He comes into our lives, and lives in us as the Holy Spirit, Father and Son to help us fulfill that purpose.  We do not know how He is doing these things, we just know that He does because the Word tells us so.
Mark 4: 26-29 gives the great explanation of this.  Jesus said,  “This is what the kingdom of God is like.  A man scatters seed on the ground.  Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.  All by itself the soil produces grain – first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.  As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”
Let us go to the Word to start our day. Let us put the seed into our heart.  Let us allow Him to work in us as we look to Him.  Let us enjoy the harvest as He presents it to us as, and when, it is ready each day.
Blessings of perfect health, and divine wealth in all things, and in all ways, God’s Beloveds.  You are greatly loved.
