“Thou He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor so that you might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9

As Paul was speaking to the Church about giving, the Holy Spirit spoke through him to remind us of the gift Christ Jesus gave to us.

He said, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sales He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.”  2 Corinthians 8:9
The Spirit tells us in the Gospel of John that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  That light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”  John 1: 1-5
Before Christ came to this earth to be born of a woman, and to become a person of flesh, a son of man just as all mankind is, He was with God the Father,  and was One with Him, and the Holy Spirit.  All things were in His hand.  All power was in His hand.   He was rich beyond description as the Son of God.
He saw the poverty of mankind, body soul, and spirit, and wanted man to have what He had.  He wanted man to be rich just as He was.  And so He did the one thing that made that possible – He traded places.  He gave up all that He had in heaven, and came to live as man. Without power (until the Holy Spirit came upon Him).  Without wealth.  Without privilege.  He gave it all to us.   Everything He possessed He gave to us to make us rich.   All that was and is necessary for us,  was and is to believe it and receive it.  He became poor that we might be rich.  Rich in health.  Rich in peace.  Rich in divine protection.  Rich in love for each other. Rich in every material need provided. Rich in grace and mercy.
It cost Him all that was His at that time, and a horrible death, but He did it for us.  He lives today, and rules as King of Kings and Lord of Lords  from the throne of Grace because He was raised to newness of life by God the Father, and His Holy Spirit after the necessary work to complete what He desired for us was completed.  And what He put in place is ours to have, and is available each day of our lives.
He lives in richness of life, and power and has made it so for us to do the same.  Now, and forever.  His Kingdom is here in each of us who will believe.  His Kingdom is also in Heaven awaiting us when this life is done. May we never allow all that He did for us to go unheeded, and unused.   May we realize who we are, and what is ours to call on.  May there be no sickness, may there be no feeling of poverty, no anxiety or feeling of unworthiness.  Let us believe what He did for us. Let us live in it each day.  Let us ‘call’ specifically, through Him,  what we need to come unto us through His work and provision.  It is ours.  He made it so.  He made us rich.  He set up accounts for each of us. It is up to us to withdraw what we need through Faith as we go to Him each day.
Blessings and love upon you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.  May you enjoy all that is yours because of what the Lord has done.  May you aspire to live in perfect health, and prosper in all good things.  May you share the richness of your provision with all who are in your life through your grace, and love.  You are greatly loved. You are greatly blessed.  Enjoy.
