Happy Easter!!! He is New Life!!! “To Him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen” Revelations l: 6

My Daughter is over 49, and my Son is 49, and my wife still has them, along with our Grandson who is 18, and others of various ages that come to this glorious event, hunting Easter Eggs on Easter Sunday. My job is to hide the eggs, (they are plastic and are various shapes and colors), and then help her with games and prizes she puts together based upon different shapes, and colors, and sizes of the eggs found, and songs she has selected. It is quite a fun event, and then when it is over, we talk about the love of God, and what Easter is really all about.

Easter is the time to celebrate what the Lord has done for us, and what He does each day. A time to remember afresh the Pass Over Week, and weekend when the lives of Mankind were changed forever. I love the story one of my dear friends from Houston has sent me a couple of times about Easter. Please let me share a short paraphrase of it with you. It is about a teacher who had a child in her class with some serious health issues and severe learning disabilities. She never knew if he was getting what she said because his reaction never told her. One Easter season she gave each child an empty plastic Egg, and asked them to put something in it that represented new life. Some of the kids put in things like fresh flowers, and green grass, but this young man’s egg was empty. When she opened the egg and saw that it was empty, the Teacher did not know if he had understood the assignment. When asked he said, “The empty egg was for the empty tomb.” His Dad had told him the Good News. Because of the Resurrection of Christ Jesus by His Father God, New Life had walked out of that tomb leaving it empty of death, and bringing new life to all mankind who would accept it. Amen. Yes, He got it. May it be so for each of us. Let us just tell the Good News and leave the results to the Lord.

This week, and weekend, we have celebrated the final week of Christ Jesus’ first walk upon this earth. He will be back. The Word tells us the week began with Him receiving the glory and honor of a King as He entered Jerusalem, but moved into His execution on a cross on the Friday of that week. The Word leads us to celebrate the weekend because Sunday is the first day of the new week, and it is the day we rejoice over the fact that Christ Jesus defeated death, and lives in Victory as He sits upon the Throne of Grace at the right hand of the Father. We celebrate what Christ did in His Spirit after He left His mortal body hanging on that cross.on that Friday. The Word says He descended into the lower depths, (Ephesians 4:7-10), took back the keys of the kingdom from the thief, (Revelations 1:18-19), and set the captives free, and gave assignments to mankind, assumed the position of King of Kings, and then on Sunday Morning became the firstborn from the dead into this new body we shall inherit!
“To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father – to Him be glory and power forever and ever.” Amen. (Revelations 1: 5-6)

What a weekend! What a Savior! What is ours through Him as we walk in His Presence and Love!

HAPPY EASTER.?
