Jesus answered, “The work of God is this:” John 6:29

Dear Ones,

I love the Word, our Bible. It holds within it eternal life that the Holy Spirit brings out as a gift for us to receive. As we read it and receive its truth, our lives are filled with insight. It would have us understand that we were born and live in this exact time for a purpose. A purpose designed by our Loving Abba Father, our Messiah Christ Jesus, and the Beautiful Amazing Holy Spirit. We are not here by random selection. We are here because it is time for us to be here. The time the great Designer of all life designated for us to participate in His plan. As believers, we should share the secrets of God He reveals in the Word to those who exist with us. God loves us all and wants each of us to be back home with Him when our time here is over.

One of my favorite chapters in all of the Word is Chapter 6 in the Gospel of John.
There we see the time where Jesus fed about 5,000 people with five small barley loaves of bread and two small fish. They had come to see and hear Him. When they were all finished eating, Jesus had his Disciples pick up the leftovers. There were 12 baskets filled with them.
An amazing picture of how our God of Love provides with and from that which is not seen and gives us more than we even ask for.
The people marveled at what they saw and Jesus left because he knew they would attempt to crown him their King. That wasn’t part of the plan.
HIs Disciples left the place where this amazing event took place for the lake where Jesus had another mindblower for them.
Verse 19 says: “When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water, and they were frightened. But He said to them, ‘It is I, don’t be afraid.’ Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.” The takeaway is this: Things we sometimes do not understand happen when Jesus moves. Our job is to trust Him and his processes.
The next day the miracle crowd was still looking for Jesus. When they heard where Jesus had gone, Capernaum, they went to Him. He told them, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for Me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him, God the Father has placed His seal of approval.”
Then they asked Him, “What must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”
Notice the question was what “works” must we do to do what God requires. His reply was there is only one thing that must be done, and one thing only. He said, “The work of God is this: to BELIEVE in the One He has sent.”
Why? Believe in the ONE He has sent because THIS ONE was the perfect example for us to look at for how to live our own lives. To fully understand who we are. To see what we are, or will be, capable of. Believe that His way is THE way to our beautiful God of Love for all eternity. This is why our Lord Jesus came, to show what we must do to truly know God by  doing the work of God. It is the greatest thing we can know and do.
In these particular examples, we see some of the seemingly impossible that can be accomplished with the kind of faith and trust in the power of God such as what Jesus carried within Himself. The same holds true for us. Or will when our own faith reaches those levels. What a glorious time that will be.
Meanwhile, love you dearly. ?
We will move on into the next part of the Gospel of John, Chapter 6, at another time. Let us receive this beautiful truth, and bask in it for the moment.
