“What must we do to do the works God requires?” John 6:28

Hello Precious Loves of God, ?

I pray that you and all of yours feel nestled in the arms of our God of Love as we begin our New Year. Many are going through things we may not understand, but this one thing we do understand – We are greatly loved. God’s Word tells us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17). He loves this world. He loves each of us.
Our God of Love, our Father God, our “Abba,” which translates to “Daddy,” loves us beyond anything we can imagine.
He proved that by sending His one and only Son to provide a way back to Him that did not require our perfection. It just requires our faith in Him. So, what does that mean? Is it enough to simply believe Jesus existed? No, there is more to it.
There was once a time in Human history that Abba allowed us to see we could never be “good enough” to walk in perfection in this world He’d given us. Those were the days of “Adam” and the hundreds of years that followed the great fall until God sent his perfect son. Believing in The Son doesn’t mean believing like a child may believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny. Believing in Him means much the same as it does when we believe in anyone. Think of someone you admire. Why do you believe in them? Trust them? It generally boils down to the character they display. The admirable way by which they live and accomplish their purpose.
And it’s the same here. God embodied Jesus to show us exactly what He was and what we are. Creators with a divine nature of love. When our behavior is born of Love, like Jesus’ own behavior was, then we know we are in the will of God and that keeps us near Him and under HIs divine protection. We then offer the same shelter he provides us to others by modeling “living in God” the way Jesus modeled it to us.
That’s how we contribute to what feels like a world falling fast. He tells us there is only one thing we must do that will put us in the spot we need to be. Abba spoke these words through Jesus when He was asked, “What must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent.” (John 6:28-29)
There is so much wrong in this world that we alone can never fix it. But we can make a difference, as individuals, that will touch many many lives, as we love and live for the winning team – our Abba, Jesus, our Savior, and the Sweet and Dynamic Holy Spirit. Presenting ourselves as righteous examples is needed now more than ever. I would encourage you to start your year by studying Jesus and His walk, The Way, wholeheartedly.
Believing in Jesus, imitating Him, is our total and complete work in this life.
It is how we never veer off the road back to full communion with God. There is no other “work” that will take us there. And it is exactly there that we will find our peace and our purpose, hence the effort for ourselves. From there, it is a matter of showing others the way through the look and feel of our lives.
Everyone wins when we say “yes” to our Lord. That is all He requires. Simply accept Jesus as Savior by accepting the truth of why He came. Live diligently in and with His Holy Spirit, and know that “Team Abba” is always with us. Wanting us to succeed like family does and providing all manner of help.
Relax, do your best, and enjoy the divine journey. The world needs you and your life. You, too, are here by Abba’s grand design. Rise into your purpose. Serve the world by serving Him.
Love you so. Happy 2022.?
Poppa B.
