Happy Resurrection Day. Good News!!

In the Gospel of Luke, we hear these words:  ” On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.  They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.  In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead. He is not here; He has risen!  Remember how He told you while He was still with you in Galilee: ‘ The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and the third day be raised again.’  Then they remembered His words.”  (Luke 24:1-8)

We celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord for many reasons.  He is our victory in and over all things.  He defeated sin and death.  He lives to bring abundant Life unto us in His kingdom – now, and forever.  He walks with us and talks with us in our spirit, in the Spirit.  He is our very best Friend.
We know all these things are true because He Said these things.   He said He would be delivered into the hands of sinners, He said He would be crucified, He said He would be raised again on the third day.  This all happened exactly as He Said it would.
His disciples saw Him die.  They saw Him after He was raised again to new life. They walked with Him.  They talked with Him.  They ate with Him. They were given power and peace by Him.  They saw Him ascend bodily back to Heaven.  His resurrection is proof that what He says is true; therefore we know we can depend on His every Word.
Happy Resurrection Day.   Let us celebrate the Love of the Father, and of our Lord Jesus, and of the Sweet Holy Spirit, – our living God – One in three persons. ?
Happy Easter, God’s Beloveds.  May you walk today, and every day in the Good News.  Jesus Lives.  He is Lord.  “Father has exalted Him to the highest place and given Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2: 9-11.
