“All of God’s promises are Yes in Christ Jesus.” 2 Cor 1:20

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote this fantastic truth:  “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ Jesus.   And so through Him the “Amen”: is spoken by us to the glory of God.”  2 Corinthians 1:20

The old hymn that says we are ‘Standing on the promises of God’ , is one I highly recommend to sing as we go throughout the day, and meditating upon 2 Corinthians 1:20  is the foundation on which we stand.  When we believe the Promises of God, the things He says He will do, we are comforted, encouraged, and strengthened.  However, when we take some, but ignore some, we often miss out on all that He has for us.  When we have an attitude of “maybe – maybe not”, when we read one of His promises, we often miss out on how He wants to bless us.
For instance, when we read: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5, some of God’s children say, “Well, I think that just means our soul is healed when we accept Christ.  I don’t think that means physical healing.”   I get that.  We may see the body still in need of healing, and so we go with what we see.  But here are a couple of things to consider:  “We walk by faith, and not by sight”, and “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”.  So if we pray, and we do not see immediate results, let us stand on the promise as it is written.  For it is “yes” in Christ Jesus.  Keep that promise in your heart, speak it from your mouth, believe it is yours and nothing can steal it from you.  You have a guarantee on it.  The Word says: ” Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.  He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit guaranteeing what is to come.” 2 Corinthians 1: 21,22.
Mark 4: 26-29 tells us what Jesus said about things coming to pass in their time.  Please read those verses when you get time, and meditate upon them.  They are a great comfort when we have to wait on something.  They assure us God is working for us, and in us, even when we do not see it happening.  Just know if God said it, we can take Him at His Word.(Hebrews 6:18).  He makes it as a promise, and it is “Yes” in Christ Jesus.
Be blessed in all good things, God’s Beloveds.  You are greatly loved, and highly favored.
