Do not fret – it leads only to evil. Psalms 37:8

Hello my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

It is written in the Word: “Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him, do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.”
Psalm 37:1-11

This was written by David. He was a great warrior, and fought many battles as the Lord led him to do. Because he trusted the Lord, he was given victory, and became a great King – The Lord called him a man after His own heart. The Lord Jesus descended from his line.
His word to us, given to him by the Holy Spirit, was ‘do not fret’. He said, ‘it leads only to evil’.

Many times it appears the person who is out for themselves, those who do evil and wrong things, succeed in what they do with no consequences. David says ‘do not fret about that’. If we are to stand up against wrong, the Lord will lead us to do that. If He does, He will show us what to do, and how to do it. We do not do it in anger and wrath. We do it in righteousness. We do it because it is the right thing to do.

But The Lord wants us to live in peace. He wants us to trust Him to make things right. He wants us to look to Him and not fret. When we fret, that brings out the way of the flesh. It brings out anger and frustration instead of peace and trust in our heart.

Let us relax in His love for us. Let us trust Him in meekness and do good – that which is right. Let us delight ourselves in Him so that He can give us the desires of our heart, and lead us away from that which is wrong.

May you enjoy great peace in your heart, God’s Beloveds. Do not fret.

Blessings and love upon you, and yours, my Friends.

I love you.
