Listen to the words of the wise

Solomon is said to have been the wisest man that ever lived.  Upon taking the Throne as King of Israel, after his father King David died, God came to him in a dream and said to him, “Ask for anything you want Me to give you.” (1 Kings 3:5).  Solomon asked for a discerning heart, and the ability to distinguish between right and wrong.  God said to him, “I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.  Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked – both riches and honor – so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.”1 Kings 3: 12-13.

Some of the great wisdom of Solomon was written down for us in the Book of Proverbs. Chapter 22, verses 17-19 says, “Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.  So that your trust may be in the Lord, I teach you today, even you.”
I highly recommend the reading of the many wise sayings given to Solomon by the Lord.  They are Holy Spirit inspired.  Keep them in your heart for discernment and wisdom.  As the Lord did for Solomon, He will do us.
Many Centuries later, Father God sent the One who will ultimately re-establish and occupy the Throne of David.  Jesus Himself will sit on that Throne.  He currently sits upon the Throne of Grace , but will return to physically sit on Davids’s Throne to rule over all. As wise, and great as Solomon was,  he will pale when compared to Jesus who is King of Kings, and Lord of Lords
All wisdom, all knowledge, all understanding is in Him. Solomon spoke the words of wisdom he was given.  Jesus IS the Word.
Let us listen to the Word.  Let us receive a wise and discerning heart as we do.  Let us receive the wonderful rewards that will come as we listen to Him.
Blessings upon you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.
You are highly favored, and deeply loved.
