“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them.” John 6:44

We continue our study of the Gospel of John.  Picking up at verse 43 of Chapter 6, we read the words of the Apostle as inspired by the Holy Spirit.  He writes:

“Stop grumbling among yourselves,”Jesus answered.  No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.  It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’  Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me.   No one has seen the Father except the One who is from God, only He has seen the Father.”  (John 6: 43-46.)
As I read these words of the Lord, I say, AMEN, AND AMEN!!
I have shared with you before the fact that when I met and asked Jesus into my heart, I was a ‘turned off’ man of 29 that had once professed belief in Christ in my early teens, but because of what I saw ‘professing’ Deacons from the Church where I was going off and on doing and saying, had turned from that faith.  I assumed that Christians were a bunch of hypocrites.  I believed there was a God, but I viewed Him as someone or something to fear because of things I had been told.  So, I stayed away from Church.  Nevertheless, my wife convinced me to go to Church for our young daughter’s opportunity to know Christ, and so I agreed just to use it as a place to network.  I had no desire to be a part of it, – just to use it.
But on the day we attended with the intent to join, the Pastor preached a message from John 3:16.  I did not even realize the Father was speaking to me through the Holy Spirit until the Preacher asked me how I was coming as we went forward to join.  I meant to say, “By Letter”, but as I opened my mouth the words came out saying, “To accept Christ as my Savior.”
I began to weep, and could not stop as I was freed from the hold of the flesh.  As the Service was ended, I finally could stop.  My life changed from that moment.
The Lord always gives us a choice.  We can say no, or we can say yes, but He will bring us truth to look at from His Word.  It may come through a Sermon in person or on a tape, or from a testimony, or from a tract, or a daily devotional, or from something we see others doing in Love.  The Way He chooses is the way we need to hear it.  He knows what that is, and will present it.  And the Good News is as Jesus said in the above verse, “Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me.”  When we truly hear the Father, and learn of His Love for us, that Love will draw us to Him.
Let us be the vessel Father, through the Holy Spirit, uses to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to someone in our life.  Let us operate in the Love He operates in. Let us give ourselves to Him each day, and just be open to the Way.
May the blessings of perfect health, and the divine wealth of perfect peace be yours through the Word and the Will of our Lord.  He loves you So, Beloveds of God.
