Hello my Friends,

Wednesday’s Message was unable to be delivered due to Google Issues.  Hopefully today’s will make it through.

We continue our walk through the Book of 1 John.  Picking up at verse 24 of Chapter 2, we read these words penned by the Apostle John, inspired and given to him by the Holy Spirit.  He writes to believers in Christ Jesus:
“See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you.  If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.  And this is what He promised us – even eternal life.  I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.  As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you.  But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit- just as it has taught you, remain in Him.” 1 John 2: 24-27
John is concerned that God’s children will be led astray by some of the members of their Church who are saying that Jesus is neither the Christ, nor the Son of God.  They are leaving the Church, and are trying to convince others of these things as they do.
As John had said earlier in this letter, they did not really belong, or believe – (verse 2:19)   If they had, they would have received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. And when that happens, truth is within us. No one can lead us astray if we will but pray, believe the true Word, and look within if someone questions our faith in Jesus Christ. The Truth is in us.
As Jesus taught in the parable of the sower of the seeds, (Mark 4:3-9), some people can appear to receive Jesus as the Christ, and Lord and Savior, but it is not always as it seems.  Some may have heard the Good News, and rejoiced in it in the flesh, but by using whatever means he can, the evil one will fight to keep it from reaching the ‘good ground’ Jesus speaks of in that parable.  Our enemy wants to steal the Word away before it takes root in us, and begins to grow.  Sadly that happens sometimes for various reasons,.  Some will even continue to walk in the flesh, and ‘play church’, but they do not walk in truth.  They walk in self, and are easily led astray by his lies.
But we who believe, and remain have been anointed with the truth.  John said, “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father.”  We have heard the Good News. We have heard that Jesus is the Christ.  We have heard that He is the beloved Son of God.  We have heard that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to take our sins and weakness of the flesh upon Himself and set us free from them.”  We have heard that He provided eternal life to us. We have heard that He wants to be with us, and in us, now and forever.  We have heard the truth.  Let us remain in truth.  Let us remain in Him.
Let us praise Him for His anointing. Let us walk in His love for us freely bestowing it upon those in our lives as He has done for us.
May you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers, God’s Beloveds.  Blessings and love to you, and yours, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus.
