When we ask Jesus to help, and heal, and we believe in Him truly, He always says, “Yes.” Luke 4:38-39

As we continue our study in Luke, chapter 4, we are seeing the power of God’s Love coming to us through Jesus. We pick up as Jesus began to touch those who came to Him, and were put into His path of life. He had been working in the Synagogue most of the day displaying some of His new miraculous power through teaching and casting out a demon for one in need. Then…

“Jesus left the Synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her.

So He bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them.” Luke 4:38-39

Jesus healed Simon (Peter)’s mother-in-law so completely that not only did the fever leave, but her strength was restored so she could ‘immediately’ get up and take care of others’ needs. This is the mighty power of Love we see the Lord using as He touches and heals those who come to Him in faith. Or one brought to Him in faith.

Jesus tries to show the power of our minds again and again. How through belief we can call forth the divine force that is God’s love and heal one another in the process. The Word continues:

“At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness and, laying His hands on each one, He healed them.” Luke 4:40

They came with all kinds of diseases, and Jesus healed each one. What a fantastic evening this must have been for all who came. What a thing to witness… these things the Messiah spoke into existence. What lessons were no doubt in his speech and touch.

Think about when we have faced a difficult time and what helped us most. Friends may have spoken kind words, or may have given us a sweet hug, or some may have laid their hand gently on top of ours. Any or all of these can help profoundly. Just knowing that someone cares activates “healing love” energy between and within us. Jesus showed that He sincerely cared as ‘He laid hands on those who were ill.’ He could have just spoken the “Word,” and all in the room would have been healed, but He wanted there to be more. He wanted them to feel His love. He knew how important the human touch is to those who are in need…

We live in days where it is important to respect boundaries of body and mind. So, whether living things in your path need a hug or prefer a proverbial one made of positive words and intentions toward them, let those in need know you are lifting them up to the One who can touch them with the power He surrounds them with when called. Pray the one in need feels that divine healing love without question.๐Ÿ™

Jesus spent a lot of time healing. It suggests that work is of utmost importance.

Let us continue to pray for the ongoing wars. Tensions are so high and others getting involved makes it look bad for the world at this point. It is so important that we pray for resolution for all. I know you will.

Blessings and Love to each of you as we journey on. Let us always remember that each day is important as we live through the days made for us. We can linger in the past, or worry about the future, but the most important day is the one we are given to live in TODAY. Let us focus on what we can do TODAY and do all we can for those in our lives. I believe that is what the Lord truly wants from each of us. ๐Ÿ™
