“Why can’t every day be like Christmas.”

Three days to the celebration of the birth of a baby boy that changed everything for mankind.

The Word says, “So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.  He went there to register with Mary who was pledged to be married to him, and was expecting a child.  While they were there the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.  She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.  And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid.  I bring you Good News that will cause great joy for the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you: He is the Messiah, the Lord.  This will be a sign to you.  You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.’” (Luke 2: 4-14)
God’s favor rests upon all who will believe in the finished work of His Son.  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  (John 3:16)
As we prepare for the celebration with food, and get togethers, and the buying of gifts that we think will bring smiles to the face of those we love, and are important in our lives; let us praise the Lord with the angels for the birth of this child who came to bring peace, and protection, and reconciliation, and provision and eternal life for God’s children.  Jesus, Son of God, became one of us and gave Himself as the eternal gift of love.  He is worthy to be praised. He brings a smile to our face every day as we live in Him.  That smile will be a gift to those in our lives ‘everyday’ as well.
Merry Christmas, precious child of God. Enjoy all that He provides.  Let us revel in it, and may we decide to live every day like it is Christmas.
You are greatly blessed, highly favored and deeply loved, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus.  May all of your good dreams come true.
Poppa B.
