“You will be my witnesses.” Acts 1:8

When Jesus had finished His work here on earth:  the work that His Father, our Father, sent Him to do that would bring redemption from darkness to every one who would believe in and accept Him as the Son of God, and as the Savior and Messiah, He gave us a great Commission before He ascended back to Heaven.  He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto Me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-20

People are dealing with many problems today.  With all of the political problems we face, the issues with the economy, the issues of life that can bring sickness, and sadness, and sorrow, the pain that can be in relationships sometimes, and the list can go on, we must not forget we have the answer.  The answer is faith in the One who has overcome it all, and now sits on the Throne of Grace at the right hand of our Father interceding for us.  Whatever land one may live in, whatever situation they may be in, the answer for every need is Christ Jesus.
He said, “ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”  That is not authority over some things – that is over “ALL things”. And He did not say “I am with you if you are doing everything right.”  He said “I am with you ALWAYS” – period.  The Lord, the power over all things is with us, in us, and on us. Victory is ours as we walk in Him. And He asked us to tell others about that victory.  He said,  “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses.”  A witness.
The Lord said He is with us always.  The Father has given us a spirit of power, and love, and sound mind in which to live.  He wants us to live in victory over issues of life by living above them in the Kingdom of God here on earth, giving them to Him and trusting Him as He works them out for us.  He wants us to walk in perfect health because “by His wounds we are healed”, and by His blood we are saved, washed, and sealed in the Covenant of grace. He wants us to walk in provisions He has made because He is our Great Shepherd, and He said that we “shall not want.”  Therefore, let us live in what He has put in place for us.  Let us be a witness to others by declaring His truth in our life.  By what we show to the world as those who live in victory, and in what we say every day to those in our world.
Let us be a witness, by showing that whatever someone needs, they can find it in Christ Jesus.   Eternal Life in the life to come, and victory in this one.  Let us speak the Good News of Christ Jesus at every given opportunity.  If someone is being drawn to the Lord, let us be open to the Holy Spirit using our voice to tell them about Jesus. It will change everything for them. It will bless us beyond measure.
Be blessed in all good things, God’s Beloveds.  Walk in His love.  May we share Him with everyone in our world.
