God is love. 1 John 4:8

As we continue our journey through 1 John, we pick up at verse 8, Chapter 4.  Writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle writes: ” Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  1 John 4:8

I pray that each of you had a wonderful Christmas celebration.  We were blessed as our children came to be with us on Christmas Eve, celebrate the story of the Lord’s birth from scripture at the reading, dinner on tamales and stuff, share some presents and laughs and love, watch some Christmas show T.V., spend the night together, have a special sharing time and traditional breakfast on Christmas morning, and then spend the day in our comfy clothes as we grazed’ on tacos, dips, sweets, and the like as we talked, watched Christmas movies, napped, and relaxed in His love.  It was a wonderful time of basking in Love.

There are many things wrong in the world, but this is a time to live above the wrongs, and rejoice in the right of things.  It is a time to fully realize that God IS Love, and He gives that love to us unconditionally as we invite Him into our lives to live within us.  We cannot earn His love, it is priceless.  We cannot be worthy of it, it is beyond our ability to achieve the worthiness of it. It is a gift purchased and paid in full by the blood of the Lamb, Christ Jesus.  It is right for us to receive it, and rejoice in it.  As we do we are lifted above the wrong things in our lives to walk in His Spiritual Kingdom.   We are lifted by faith in His love and grace.
It is right for us to let old wounds begin to heal through the ointment of the love and grace of God.  It is right to forgive those who have sinned against us.  To purpose to not let those things be a focus, but rather to live life abundantly above them through Christ Jesus.  It is right for us forgive ourselves for the mistakes we have made, and purpose to learn and grow from them, and not be pulled down by them. It is right to purpose to do unto others as we would have them do unto us.  This is Love.  This is God’s Love living in us, and through us, and giving us a spirit of power and love to be able to do the things above the flesh..(2 Timothy 1:7)
How wonderful it is that we have the privilege to celebrate the birth of the baby that came to be among us, and with us, Immanuel, (Isaiah 7:14).  To grow into a man that so loved us that He gave His life for us that we might live in Him, Jesus, (John 3:16)  This is Love.  This is the Spirit of God. Let us receive it, and let it flow through us to this world that we are on a journey through.  It is our Light.  It is the Light of the world. (John 1:1-14)
Blessings and Love to you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.
