The Word tells us that we were created in the image of God. Since God is perfect in every way, so it was for us. He placed us into an exalted position, and put us over all things that He had spoken into existence. Genesis 2:15.
How long it took in time for all that to happen will be debated until time as we know it is completed, and a new heaven and earth will come which will be ours for eternity.
The bad news is we lost that position through listening to something that was not true. The Good News is, God sent Truth to us to bring us back to who we truly are. John 14:6 Perfect in born our again spirit in Him, and through Him, when we believe in Christ Jesus, and what He did for us in, and through, His grace and love.
Hundreds of years before Christ came as Son of God, Son of Man, Isaiah, writing under the direction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit told us all that Jesus would do for us. He wrote:
“Surely, He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted . But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53: 4,5,6.
Please read the words of these three verses again. Please look at every word slowly and carefully, and meditate upon them. Sometimes we do not fully receive all that is ours through faith in Christ. Sometimes we do not grasp the full meaning of infirmities, and iniquities.
Father God allowed His Son, the Lord Jesus, to take up every weakness of flesh, every bad habit, every disease, every sorrow, every transgression, every type of wickedness, every fear, every lack, of every man or woman who ever lived or ever will live upon Himself. He took them into His Body, His Soul, and His Spirit. He took them, and by His grace gave us His righteousness and perfection in all things if we choose to receive them by trusting and believing in Him, and His finished work.
By His wounds we are healed. Healed in our Mortal Body. “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through the Spirit who lives in you.” Romans 8:11
Healed in our Soul. “The mind of sinful man is death. But the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 Perfect in our Spirit when we are born again by the Holy Spirit, through faith in Jesus and become sons and daughters of God. John 3:3,16
Jesus said, “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Mark 9:23. The person He was talking to said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief”.Mark 9:24.
I pray that we take the whole truth, the whole provision that will heal us in every area, in every issue, in every need, and restore us to the position we are created to live in through our faith and trust in Him. I pray that we allow nothing to take away that which is ours because of believing something that is not true. God is Love. God is Good. He wants you to have all that is yours because of your exalted position.
