“If My people would but listen to Me.” Psalm 81

A Shepherd Boy of Israel that God called a “man after His own heart” and made him to be King of of His people, penned these words given to Him by The Holy Spirit to say to all of God’s people:

“If my people would but listen to Me, if my people would follow my ways, how quickly would I subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their foes!”
Psalm 81:13,14
God created mankind in His image.  We are created with magnificent power to also create.  To do that He has given us the right to choose, make our own decisions, and to grow from the opportunities life presents.
This is beautiful, and it is wonderful.  However, to make good decisions, and to choose the right path, and to create meaningful lasting things, we must have the wisdom, and knowledge, and understanding of the Lord, Creator of all things.  He is our Father, and as any good father does He wants us to go to Him and let Him teach, and coach, and show the best way.  He wants us to remember that His power is available for us to call upon.  He wants us to know that no matter how big any issue is that we might face, He can and will subdue it when we bring it to Him, and trust Him to do so.
The Prophet Hosea said, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”  (Hosea 4:6)  May that not be so for us.  May we be enlightened, and delighted, and encouraged, and strengthened, and comforted, and be lifted up by the Word of God given to us by and through the Lord Jesus Christ.  May our hearts, and ears, our very soul, be open to ‘listening’ to our Lord God as we pray for guidance, and read the Bible, and other anointed writings, and hear anointed messages, and receive His Word into our spirit, soul, and body.  Any and every issue of life is addressed in His Word.  It is alive and active, my Friends. (Hebrews 4:12)  There are thousands of promises that are made to us, and for us if we but ‘listen’, and believe them, and realize they are there for us to have.  They are promises of God’s love for us.
In the Gospel of Mark we read that Jesus took Peter, James and John to a high mountain.  There He was transfigured before them, and there appeared Elijah and Moses who talked with Him. Then a cloud enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud and said, “This is my Son, whom I love.  ‘Listen’ to Him.” (Mark 9:2-7)  In the Gospel of John we read these words spoken by Jesus: “My sheep ‘listen’ to my voice; I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
Let us choose to be in Fellowship with the Lord God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as we start our day.  Let us ‘listen’ to Him throughout the day.  Let us choose to follow Him.  He will show us the right way in all things.  He will do the heavy lifting.  He will subdue our enemies.
Psalm 37:4 says: “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Let us ‘listen’ to Him, and we will indeed find ourselves to be truly delighted, and highly blessed.  I testify that this is so.
Blessings and love to you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.
