Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

As we settle in on our new year’s journey, and put New Year’s Resolutions in place, we want to keep first things first.  We are here for a purpose.  That is to grow, and learn in Christ Jesus, and to leave this world a better place than when we arrived.

I believe we are born at the appointed time for us – just as the Lord Jesus Christ was born at the appointed time for Him.  Our Heavenly Father is charge of appointed times, and His time is always perfect.  Jesus said that He was coming back for His Church, but only the Father knew what that time will be. He did not question that, he just believed it, and went about His purpose for being on earth.  He changed the world, and so can we.  Victory was His, and so it shall be for all time to come.
When we walk with Him on this journey, we walk in victory.  He makes it so.  Now and forever. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8.  As the old hymn says, “There is victory in Jesus, our Savior forever.”. It is only when we put our shoulder to the wheel to do all of the things we want to accomplish, and forget to put it all into His hands first every day and let Him lead and carry the heavy load that we get worn out discouraged and many times fall away from our goals and our purpose.
The Lord has given each of us talents to use.  It is always our choice as to whether to use them or not, but they are there.   The world will not fall apart if we do not use them..  We will not lose our salvation if we do not.  But the world will be a better place, our brothers and sisters will be blessed, and we will be more fulfilled if we put them in play.  The Lord did not give them to us randomly, He gave them specifically.  We can see clearly that different people have different gifts.  That is by design. Those gifts were given to us to use now.
So as we go forth in this new year, let us put first things first.  That is to connect with the Lord Jesus Christ first – every day – and to go forth in His love, and power, and grace, and mercy and victory – knowing that we are forgiven and cleansed by His blood yesterday, today and forever.   The Word says, “Because by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.  And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this.  First He says: ‘This is the covenant I will make with them after that time says the Lord.  I will put my laws in their hearts, and will will write them on their minds’  The He adds:  ‘Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10: 14-17
Let us stay on His purpose.  That is to show His great love to one another.  Let us stay on our purpose.  That is to become what we were born to be working in His power, and partnership.
Let us keep our great minds clear with the right thoughts.  Paul said, “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable  – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”  Philippians 4:8
You are greatly loved, and of worth that is divine, God’s Beloveds.
