Let us seek His face. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, came to Austin yesterday.  Franklin’s Dad was perhaps the greatest Evangelist in modern time. Through  presenting Jesus Christ as the Way, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, Billy Graham was used by the Lord to bring millions to the love of God the Father . Franklin has dedicated himself to bringing help to the multitudes around the world where there is great need.

I was privileged to be one of the local Chaplains used to assist those who came to hear Mr. Graham as he spoke from the steps of the Capitol, and would like to share part of his message.
He was there to encourage the people of this great Nation.  He is going to every state in America to encourage the citizens of every City, and every State to get involved in the political process.   Certainly not everyone agrees with everything he says, but the primary part of his message was urge people to look at what is happening around us, and take action before it is too late.
He said, “Over the last few decades, God has been removed from our Schools, and many of our children have no concept of who He is.  The Ten Commandments have been taken from the walls and halls because they might offend someone, and many of our children have never heard them spoken.  The practice of prayer for the day has been removed, because it might offend someone, and consequently many of our children have never been taught to pray, or even think about asking God to bless them, our Schools, our Families, our Nation. This has come about because we as Christians have allowed it without standing up to ‘Secularism’.  The separation of Church and State is not in our Constitution, and the removal of God from our lives was never intended to be.  This Nation was founded on “In God we trust”, but was captured with “In ourselves we trust”.   The result is becoming a disaster.  The Country is in danger of imploding.
He asked us to get involved in the fight to bring the country back from the precarious position we are in by finding out who we should vote for than has some stand for the love of God and Country.  That means study their words, look at their background, vote at every level – city, state, and federal.  Vote every time there is an election.  He asked also that we consider running for Office as well.  There are many who are well qualified and should be a part of who is making decisions for the good of the people.  Bathe these things, and this country in prayer, and commit to action.”
The Lord said, “If my people, who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14.
Be encouraged, strengthened, and comforted by the Words of the Lord.    All of His promises are Yes, in Christ Jesus.
Blessings and love to you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.
