“The Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son.”

As we continue our study of the Gospel of John, we pick up at verse 22 of Chapter 5.  Writing under the influence of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle records the words of Jesus who said:

“Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son as they honor the Father.  Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent Him.  Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged, but has crossed over from death to life.”  John 5: 22-24
Many truths are given to us here through the words of Christ in these verses,  but there are two that stand out to me.
First are the words of the Son telling us He is now the Judge of mankind.  Jesus, Son of God, is of course also the Son of Man, and is fully man, and Father has placed Him above every man, (‘Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father., Philippians 2: 9-11).
Father wants the world to know,  that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, (John 14:6) and that Jesus is the doorway into eternal life with Him.  He asks us to honor Jesus as we honor Him.  He allowed Jesus to take every sin, mistake, bad decision, sickness, disease, weakness, terrible habit, lack, and imperfection upon Himself and die on a cross for each of us.  He gave us His perfection, grace, love, wisdom, knowledge, understanding and all things needed to us when He did this.  Jesus understands us as no one else does  He understands every temptation, because He too was tempted with every temptation known to man.  Yet He remained sinless because He yielded to none.  He is worthy to be our judge.
The Second truth that stands out to me is the fact that there will be no judgment for the one who hears His Word, and believes the Father who said,  “This is my Beloved Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.”( Matthew 3:17), and “This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.  Listen to Him.”  (Matthew 17:5)
Jesus walked on water, raised the dead, healed the sick, fed thousands with two small fish and five small loaves of bread, told the people that He was the bread of life, and that His blood provides eternal life, gave truth after truth, and performed miracle after miracle. He went to the cross for us. He did all things to bring us to God.  He then clearly stated that the only work from man that God asks is “believe in the One He has sent.” (John 6:29)
The Good New says as we listen to, and believe and receive the Words of Jesus into our soul, and believe the Words of the Father, we become a new Creation.  He transforms us to be like Him in our spirit, and when the Father looks at us He sees us as He sees His Son.  “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.  The old has gone, the new is here.  All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them……God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5: 17-19, 21)
Therefore, since we are a new creation that has become the righteousness of God in Christ, there will be no judgment.  We have already crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24)
Let us rejoice daily in the grace and love of God that has set us free from judgment.  We are not set free of judgment to live a life of sin, but rather a life of Love and honor.  Loving and honoring God:  Loving and honoring each other.  Loving and honoring ourselves.  Right Believing, and Right Actions will come forth.   We will walk in His kingdom here on earth.  He shall be pleased. We shall be blessed.
Blessings and love to you, and yours, God’s Beloveds.  May you walk in perfect health, and His divine wealth of grace, mercy, wisdom, and Agape Love.  May His Peace be shown in and through you.
