“The Messiah will explain everything to us.” John 4:25

As we continue our study of the Book of John, we pick up at verse 25 of Chapter 4.  Writing under the influence of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle John writes:

“The woman said, ‘I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming.  When He comes, He will explain everything to us.’  Then Jesus declared, ‘I, the One speaking to you – I am He.'”  John 4: 25-26
Jesus was having a discussion with the woman from Samaria whom He had met at Jacob’s Well to tell the Good News.  They were talking about where to worship.  He had told her it did not matter physically where we worship.  “For God is Spirit.  He is everywhere, and He is in us. That if we worship in the Spirit and in truth, we are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
Not wanting to debate the issue, she simply said, “The Messiah is coming.  He will explain it all.”  When Jesus told her, “I am He”,  she basically had three choices. To choose to believe His words and accept Him, or to not believe His words and reject Him, or to find out more about His words, and keep an open mind.   So it is for us.  When we choose to find out more, The Word is where we find truth, and as the woman said, “will explain everything to us.”
The Lord had told her earlier in their conversation that salvation is from the Jews, and so in the Word we find that it is.  Salvation came to mankind as a Man from the Jews.  As a One and Only Son of Man -( totally Man)  and Son of God – (totally God.)  It matters that we know who He was, and who He is.  It matters that we know where He lived when He was on earth.  Who His parents were.  What He went through as a Man.  That He was flesh and blood.  That He got tired, and had to eat, and had to rest.  That He prayed.  That He cried.  That He showed righteous anger. That He understood every emotion and need and every temptation that any person ever experienced. It all matters as we come to know Him intimately, completely, and can walk with Him as One in every way.  As we come to know that He is Son of Man, and Son of God, and that He is the Word of God,  and that He speaks to us through His Word, in Spirit and truth, we begin to see clearly how He is without question the Messiah.
It matters that we know that The Word tells us the Messiah, the Savior of mankind and of all things in the world, was born into this world, at the appointed time, through the line of Shem , son of Noah.  Shem’s descendants were called Semites.  Abraham, David, and Jesus descended from him.   We find the story of Abraham, and God’s call to Him to create a Nation of people who would bring forth the Messiah,  in the Book of Genesis beginning with chapter 12. We read, “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. He said, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”  (Genesis 12: 1-3.)  “What does the Scripture say, ‘ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.’  (Romans 4:3)  He was blessed to be a blessing because He believed -as are we through faith in Christ Jesus.
Let us look to the Messiah, Christ Jesus, to explain the love our Abba Father has for us as we yoke with Him and walk with Him, and totally trust Him.  Let us look to the Messiah, and listen to Him, and keep our focus on Him  when it appears there is no answer, and by sight appears to be no way.  Let us always remember He IS the Way.  He has the answers, and they are truth.   In Him is a victorious Life.  In Him is Peace.
Father sent us the Messiah, so that in Him we could live the Abundant Life above this fallen world.  May we believe as He speaks to us.  He brings light to our world as we believe.  He came to set us free. Let it be so.
Have a wonderful day in every way, God’s Beloveds.  May you prosper in all good things, and walk with Christ, blessed in perfect health and divine wealth; body, soul, and spirit.  You are greatly loved.
