“The One whom God has sent speaks the words of God.” John 3: 34

As we continue our study of the Gospel of John, we pick up at verse 31 of Chapter 3.  Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle writes:

“The One who comes from above is above all, the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth.  The One who comes from heaven is above all.  He testifies to what He has seen and heard, but no one accepts His testimony.  Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.  For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.”  John 3: 31-34
When Father God sent Jesus to the world to save His lost children, He anointed Him with all the fullness of Himself.  There was no limit put on Him. Jesus was fully Son of man, so that He could live and relate to those in the flesh – those who are from the earth.  He lived among us.  He spoke as one from the earth so that we could and would receive His presence.  But He was fully Son of God as well.  He lost none of His deity when He took the body of flesh and blood.
As we have seen from the writings, John the Baptist was a great Teacher, and Preacher.   He was anointed with the Holy Spirit; he had direct communication with God  who had told him he would show him the Messiah, but he had not been to heaven.  He was limited in what He knew, and what He had seen because he was of the earth.   Jesus was without limit for He was from heaven – sent from God the Father.  He was God’s Messenger.  He was God’s Message.
In the Book of Hebrews, we read:  “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe.  The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word.”  (Hebrews 1: 1-3)
The Gospel, the Good News, centers around Jesus.  If we can believe and accept by faith that He was and is whom He claimed to be; the Son of God who came to this world to give His life to restore us to whom God created us to be, we have forgiveness of sins, and eternal life.  We are elevated to His kingdom within each of us to live above the world as we walk in it.  He said, “I Am the truth, and the Life, and the Way.” (John 14:6)
Let us receive His Words.  Let us believe His Words.  He IS the Word.
Have a wonderful day in every way, God’s Beloveds.   May you prosper in all good things, and be in perfect health as you walk with Him.  You are greatly loved.

As we celebrate Memorial day tomorrow, let us give thanks to all who have served, and are currently serving this great country that God has so richly Blessed.  May They, and their Families, be richly Blessed.
