“All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful for those who keep the words of his covenant.” Psalm 25:10
The Lord wants to be loving and faithful to every person born into this world. Every child that comes here is a child of God. Here for a purpose. Here to show His Love as we walk in His covenant of Grace. We are created as a ‘son of man’ and given freedom of choice to be ‘Love’, son of God, if we choose to be, or walk away from the Lord if we choose to.
Psalm 139:13 tells us: “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” 139:16 tells us: “Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” Jeremiah 1:5 says: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
Jeremiah was set apart. His purpose was to be a Prophet. We are set apart for a purpose that was given to us in our soul before we were formed in the body just as he was. This is obvious as we see the many different talents given to our Brothers and Sisters. We are ‘set apart’ and given these talents to use for the body of man kind in the world. The Lord will lovingly, and faithfully help us do what we are set apart to do if we will let Him lead us, and show us the way.
His way is Love. His way is to ask us to receive Jesus Christ as His Son, and our Saviour. He will lead us to the Kingdom here on earth in the Holy Spirit, the Abundant Life, and the Way home. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) Father sent His only begotten to establish a covenant of grace – unmerited favor. To show us by His action that He loves us, and is faithful to us as we make this journey.
Many of God’s children have chosen to walk away from Him. They may have been highly successful with their talent in the world without Him and think they do not need Him. But the end result is sad when it is all about them, and they have lost their way back home. If we choose His way, we will have it all. We will walk in His Light. We will see, and do what we are called, and set apart to do. We will love Him with all of our spirit, soul, and body. We will love our neighbor as we love ourselves. We will never lose our way home.
Let us choose His ways every day. His ways are to be loving and faithful. His ways are to be filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit – “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control – (Gal 5:22)
