Worship in Spirit and in Truth. John 4:24

To Worship basically means to honor or revere One who is worthy of our love and devotion.  That is our God of Love.  The Word says, “Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.” (John 4:24)

We however, as people of flesh, have to be careful of allowing ourselves to worship things and people, or jobs, or houses, or cars etc.  Things that are not worthy, or divine, and sometimes things that are wrongfully distracting us from where our heart should be.   Things that can cause harm to us or to our families because we have mistakenly given our heart to it, instead of to them.
As God’s children were being delivered from slavery, The Holy Spirit said, “Worship the Lord your God, and His blessings will be on your food and water.  He will take away sickness from among you.” (Exodus 23:25)  He wants to bless us.  He wants to bless everything that goes into our body, and mind.  He wants us to be well, and free from sickness, bad harmful habits, and other things that cause harm.  As we worship Him in Spirit and in truth, we open the channels for His blessings to flow in and through us – to bless us, and to bless others.
The Lord does not have a need for us to worship Him.  WE have a need to worship HIM.  He knows if we fill our hearts with love and devotion to Him, there will be no room for worship of other things that are of no real value, or in some cases for lies of the enemy to take us out of God’s will.  God is Love.  He is Goodness.  That, is what we want to worship.
Let us start our day honoring Him by going to Him in prayer and praise as we open our eyes.   Let us show reverence to Him for Who He is, and What He has done, and what He promises to do by listening to Him as He speaks to us Words of truth from His Word, and in Messages from great Teachers, and Daily Devotionals, and words of truth in songs of Praise.  Let us walk with Him through out the day – talking to Him as our Best Friend.  He is with us in Spirit.  He is with us in Truth. He is our Peace.  He is our comfort.  He is our strength. He is our Joy.   These are the reasons He says to worship Him.   He loves us, and always wants what is best for us.  He knows that Best is Jesus and all that He is.
May you be given Blessings of perfect health for your mortal body, and the divine wealth of Peace in your hearts, my Friends.  You are unconditionally loved.  Let us love Him- worship Him – with all our heart, and all our soul, and with all our mind.  In this we will find contentment and happiness, peace and joy, and truth.
