“But He who sent Me is true.” John 7:28

We continue our study of the Gospel of John.  Picking up at verse 25, from the 7th chapter, we read the inspired words of John.  He wrote:

“At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, ‘Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?  Here He is speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to Him.  Have the authorities really concluded that He is the Messiah?  But we know where this man is from, when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.’  Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, ‘Yes you know Me, and you know where I am from.  I am not here on my own authority, but He who sent Me is true. You do not know Him, but I know Him because I am from Him and He sent Me.  At this they tried to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.  Still many in the crowd believed in Him.  They said, ‘When the Messiah comes, will He perform more signs than this man?'”  (John 7: 25-31)
The crowd was confused, and divided about Jesus.   The word was out that the Jewish Leadership wanted to destroy him, – for various reasons, but primarily because their minds were darkened, and they refused to hear Him – yet He was clearly front and center proclaiming truth.
He is Truth, but each of us must decide who He is for ourselves.  Each of us must decide for ourselves what truth is, and Who truth is.
Jesus said of Himself, “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.  If you really know Me, you will know my Father as well. From now on you do know Him, and have seen Him.”  (John 14: 6-7)  Our Abba Father,  and the Holy Spirit, and Jesus are One.  As Jesus stood before them, Almighty God was presenting Himself, and all that He IS.
Those who live in the world today, like those in the time of this Scripture, are confused and divided about who Jesus is, and why He came.  He is Almighty God, personified so that we might be as One with Him.  Jesus is Son of Man – Son of God.  When we accept Him as the Messiah, Savior of Mankind, we are then One with Him.  We are Son’s and Daughter’s of Man, Son’s and Daughters of God.   This is Truth.  This is Life – now and forever.
God sent His Son to bring us Truth.  To bring us to Him for all time to come.  May we say “Yes” to this Truth, and receive Jesus into our life today and every day.
You are greatly blessed, and unconditionally loved in Him.
