“For the Battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15

In 2 Chronicles, the Word tells us of a vast army that was coming against Judah. Greatly outnumbered, the King of Judah went to the Lord.  The Lord then spoke through one of His prophets and give this word:

He said, “Listen, King Jehoshaphat, and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem!  This is what the Lord says to you:  ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army.  For the battle is not yours but God’s.  Tomorrow march down against them…..You will not have to fight this battle.  Take up up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.  Go out to face them tomorrow and the Lord will be with you.”  (2 Chronicles 20: 15-17.)
In the next several verses, the Word tell us of the way God turned the enemy upon itself, and and completely destroyed it.  (2 Chronicles 18-26)  Total and complete Victory.  All they had to do was show up.  God took care of the rest.
The Word says the victory brought an abundance of needed things unto them, and they were greatly blessed. It took them three days just to bring the spoils in.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)    What He told the Children of Judah, He tells us today.  What He did for them, He will do for us.
The Holy Spirit spoke through Paul as he wrote to the Ephesians,  “Finally be strong in the Lord, and in His mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God , so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and  blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may  be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, ….to stand.”  “Stand firm”….Ephesians (6:10-18)
He does not say anything about fighting, He says “Stand Firm.”  He did not say fight, He said, “Pray in the Spirit”.  Our victory is in Him as we believe Him, look to Him, and Pray in the Spirit.
When we are faced with evil, let us stand firm against it.  ……Stand firm in faith in Christ Jesus, and let Him fight the fight.  He wins every time we call on Him in faith.   Our part of the battle is to show up unafraid, stand and watch Him do so – knowing where the victory comes from.  For as the Holy Spirit spoke through Paul,  He said, “God has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self discipline.” (2 Tim 1:7 )
Our Battles can come from lack of a job or provision, troubled marriage, unhealthy addictions, unfaithfulness, lack of trust, and so many others.  But the answer is the same.  Go to Jesus.  Let Him fight for you. When the battle is over, we get to walk in the victory.
Here is an example.  Our health is one of the biggest battles the enemy tries to come at us with.  I have shared with you that the Lord delivered me from an enormous amount of medication, and from all pain several years ago. It was not overnight, and was a gradual process of learning to let the Lord have all the needs in my life, and trusting Him to set me free, and be my victory.  He encouraged me in my spirit, and taught me to watch Him do so.  I did.  Now instead of medication, I take no pills,  I use all common home products such as Apple Cider Vinegar, and Raw Honey, and eat fruits, and vegetables, and do daily walking,  and most importantly I stand on His Word that says, “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on on Him, and by His Wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5.)  I do not say for you to do this without working with your Dr. I worked with mine as I went on this journey, but I know it is for us to have.
Christ Jesus lived and died and lives again for our every need.  Let us receive all that He has for us.  Let us say “Yes”, to His every offer, and let Him fight the battle for us when we are attacked in any area of our life. He wins.
Have a wonderful day, blessed in every way, as you walk in His Grace, and Love, God’s Beloveds.  A HUGE THANK YOU and extra blessings to all of our Veterans for the fighting they did, and do, for us.  You are greatly loved.
