Humility and Reverence brings Abundant Life. Proverbs 22:4

he Word tells us:  “Humility, and Reverence for the Lord, bring wealth and honor and life.”  Proverbs 22:4

Jesus said, “I came that you might have life, and have it abundantly.”  To quote the full verse from the NIV it says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)  Jesus went on to say, “I am the good shepherd.  The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)  This He did.  He laid down His life for us on a Cross after He had been beaten so badly that He was almost unrecognizable.  He said He would lay down His life for us. He proved what He said.  He gave His life so that we might have life to the full.
When we fully grasp this wonderful act of love for us.  When we realize in our heart that our Heavenly Father gave the most precious thing He could give, and that our Lord Jesus became a Son of Man to take upon Himself flesh such as ours, and that The Holy Spirit raised Him back to life to walk with us, and to sit upon the Throne of Grace at the right hand of The Father to intercede for us, we cannot help but be humbled, and bow before Him in adoration and thanksgiving, and reverence.
We look forward to spending eternity with Him, and what glory that shall be.  But He put us here for the purpose of growing body, soul, and spirit – now. He put us here to understand that He wants to bless us and be with us in all things – now and forever.
When we look humbly, and with sincere reverence to Him to help us live this life as it is intended, we shall have wealth, honor, and life.  We do not have to chase after these things as the world does. These things shall be brought to us and set before us. They are ours to have if we can receive them, and believe they are ours to walk in.  We must not let the thief take them because we refuse to believe they are ours.
Wealth comes in many ways. Honor comes in many forms. Life is the source of all things.  Let us go into each day expecting to see these things happening in our lives as we “act justly, and love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.”(Micah 6:8)
May you be in perfect Oneness with the Love of our Lord.  May you prosper in all good things.
I love you, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus.
