Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise Your might. Psalm 21: 13

The mid-week message brings us to Psalm 21.

This Psalm is a praise of David, when he was king.  He was praising God, and singing and rejoicing in the Lord’s strength, and giving Him glory for all that He had done for him.
As we read this praise, let us put our own name in the space where David had put his as king.  Let us rejoice in all that the Lord has done for us.  Let us be ever mindful that His strength and might holds us safe and secure as we journey on.  All is well.
“O Lord, ____ rejoices in your strength.  How great is ____ joy in the victories You give.
You have granted ____ the desire of ____ heart, and have not withheld the request of ____lips.
You welcomed ____ with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on _______head.
____asked You for life, and You gave it – length of days, for ever and ever.
Through the victories You gave, ____glory is great; You have bestowed on ____splendor and majesty.
Surely You have granted ____ eternal blessings and made ____ glad with the joy of your presence.
For ____trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High,_____ will not be shaken.
Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might.”
Psalm 21: 1-7, 13
The Word tells us David was a man after God’s own heart.  The Lord gave him victory, and blessed him in every way.  David knew without a doubt where these blessings and victories and strength came from, and gave the Lord praise and adoration for them.
David sang to the Lord of his love for Him.  Let it be so for us. Even if we cannot carry a tune – sing.  A song of praise is one of the most uplifting, and faith building things we can do. It lifts our spirits on high.   We have much to sing about.
Father has given us victory through Christ Jesus, our King.  When we believe that, and open our hearts to Him, He becomes one with us, (John 17:26) and all of the blessings He came to give us are ours.  He “forgives our sins, heals all of our diseases, redeems our life from the pit, crowns us with love and compassion, satisfies our desires with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:1-5.
May our hearts be filled with love, and praise, and adoration for our Heavenly Father, our Savior Christ Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, giver of life.  Let us sing to Him. Psalm 104:33-34 says, “I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.  May my meditation be pleasing to Him, as I rejoice in the Lord.”  Let us rejoice and be glad in His strength and might. For the battle is His.  Victory is ours.
The Word, (Jesus is the Word), tells us we are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by our God of unfailing Love.  Let us exalt Him in songs of praise and thanksgiving.  He exalts us as we exalt Him.
I love you, God’s Beloveds.  May you be in good health, and prosper in all good things.
