“By Wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength.”
Proverbs 24: 3–5
Wisdom – understanding – knowledge – power – strength. These are character traits of Father God; of Christ Jesus, and of the Holy Spirit. These are ours to walk in through Him.
Because of His Grace and mercy and love, God has made it so wonderfully easy and simple for us to come to Him, and be as one with Him. He has taken the work to get to Him out of the journey, and made it a matter of grace, and faith. When asked by His disciples “What must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered, ‘ The work of God is this; to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6: 28-29
When we believe the words of Christ Jesus, and ask Him into our soul, we are born again as a child of God by the Holy Spirit. As His child, we have wisdom, and knowledge, and understanding, and power, and strength. When we learn to walk in Him daily, and that is similar to a baby learning to walk, we begin to realize that we have these things and begin to grow in them. A baby learns to crawl, and then walk, and then walk without falling down so often, and then to run, and jump and become….So it is in our walk of faith in Him.
We are the house the Word speaks of here. We shall be filled with rare and beautiful treasures as we believe and use the traits the Lord has put in us to become ……. We shall shine as the house on the hill that is lighted in every room.
