“Jesus walks on water.” (PART 2) John 6: 16-21

Having moved away from our study of the Gospel of John for a few weeks to celebrate and write about the birth of our Lord, and to start our New Year off in Him, we now return.

We are studying the scene of Jesus walking on water.  Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle writes of the miracle in verses 6: 16-21.  In verses 19-20 he writes:
“When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened. But He said to them, ‘It is I, don’t be afraid.”
Matthew writes of this scene, and goes on to say:  “Lord, if it is You”, Peter replied, “tell me to come to You on the water.”  “Come”, He said.  Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink cried out, “Lord save me!”  Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. “You of little faith” He said, “why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:28-31)
The Apostle John did not write of Peter walking on the water, nor did Mark in his gospel, and Luke does not speak of Jesus walking on the water..But that is why it is important to study all four of the Gospels, and tie them together to glean more of the blessings from the  teaching Jesus brings.   Everything the Lord did, was for a reason.  Always teaching – always modeling what is ours.  Always wanting us to grow in our Spirit.
May we never doubt His power.  May we never doubt what us possible for us through faith in Him.
If we hear His voice, and there is no doubt it is His, expect miraculous things to happen.  We may not can see how it is possible, but as Jesus said, “Everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23)
Have a wonderful day, God’s Beloveds.  May you be blessed in all things, and in all ways.  Let us go ‘all in’ and trust our Lord to bring us to the level that is above the natural.
In Christ Jesus, you are highly favored, and deeply Loved, precious Children of God.  Expect great things to happen in your life.
