For God so Loved the World that He gave His only Begotten Son. John 3:16

Since today’s date is 3-16, let us use it as a reminder of our God’s love for us.  We can get so busy, and so captured by the things to be done today that we can jump right into it on our own.  That is human nature, but it is not God’s nature.  The nature of God is to Love, and to be at peace. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16,17

Because God knows all things, He knew His ultimate creation would fall away from Him.  He created us with a ‘free will’, so that we could decide if we wanted to follow His way or go our own way.  He knew that His son Lucifer would fall into pride and desire to be above Him, and be cast out of heaven into the world, and that there would be much pain for the world because of it.  He knew we (mankind) would fall away into a darkness apart from Him because of temptations from Lucifer, and that we would need a light back to Him.  Knowing these things, He still gave us free will.  He wants us to choose how we will live, and for us to choose to love Him, and believe in Him in return for His love and kindness and grace and complete provision through Christ Jesus.  We get to make that choice.
When we make the decision to believe in Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life, (John 14:6), when we ask Him into our life, that choice is sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30)
We are born again (John 3: 5-8), and that never changes.  What can change is our attitude and actions in life.  The Good News is that we have control over these things when we walk in Him.   Jesus is the Light of the World. (John 1:4)  He is the Word (John 1:1) His Word is a Lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path. (Psalm 119: 105)  In and through His Word we receive encouragement, and strength, and comfort, and an attitude adjustment if needed. (Hebrews 4:12)  Therefore, let us go to the Word before we go into the world. (Matt 6:33)
There is no word to describe His love for us.  We just know it is unconditional, and unearned, and is a life changing power.  It is offered to us through His only Begotten Son.  It is brought into us through the Holy Spirit when we are born again.  Let us say ‘yes’ to His offer, and receive that love into our being, and be filled by it.  Let us offer that unconditional and unearned love to all those in our life.  It is a love bought and paid for by the blood of Christ.  It is ours to live in when we say yes to His offer – “to whosoever believes”.
You are greatly blessed through His love, God’s Beloved.  Walk in His magnificent gift.
